Transparency matters. Here is where our data comes from.
STRC dividend rates and dates
Dividend rate announcements, ex-dividend dates, record dates, and payment dates are sourced from Strategy Inc. press releases and SEC filings (8-K, 10-Q, 10-K). These are updated manually when Strategy announces each month's rate, typically on the last business day of the prior month.
STRC live price
Real-time STRC share price is sourced from Yahoo Finance via their market data feed. Price data is cached and refreshed approximately every 15 minutes during market hours. Prices may be delayed.
Bitcoin price
Live bitcoin price is sourced from Yahoo Finance (BTC-USD) via API. Used on the Status page, Stress Test, and Coverage Depth component. Cached and refreshed approximately every 15 minutes. Falls back to the most recent price in strc.json if the API is unavailable.
Treasury yields
1-year Treasury yields are sourced from the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Daily Treasury Yield Curve Rates, published at treasury.gov. Updated approximately every 6 hours.
S&P 500 dividend yield
The S&P 500 trailing dividend yield is derived from SPY (SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust) data via Yahoo Finance. Updated approximately every 6 hours.
Savings account and CD rates
High-yield savings account rates represent the best widely-available APY from major online banks as reported by NerdWallet and Bankrate. 1-year CD rates represent the best nationally-available 1-year certificate of deposit rate from the same sources. These are updated manually, typically at the beginning of each month alongside the STRC dividend rate update. They are intended for illustrative comparison purposes and may not reflect the exact rate available from any specific institution.
STRE and other preferred series data
Share counts, ATM capacity, and dividend rates for all five of Strategy's preferred series (STRC, STRF, STRK, STRD, STRE) are sourced from Strategy's weekly 8-K filings with the SEC. STRE is euro-denominated and trades on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. These figures are updated weekly alongside the BTC holdings update using the weekly update script.
